Welcome to Mobius 3

After far too long, I'm pleased to announce the resurrection of the Mobius Programmable Looper.

Mobius 3 is an extensive redesign of the original Mobius featuring support for modern 64-bit Windows and Mac host applications, new UI technology, and many new features. If you have used Mobius in the past, almost all of the old looping functionality is still there, but many new enhancements are planned for the future. If you are new to Mobius, it remains a large and difficult program to understand but I am in the process of improving the documentation and the new user experience.

Given the magnitude of the changes, I recommend that it be used only by experienced users for a while and not for any important live performance until we've had time to test it in different environments and fix the inevitable bugs. PLEASE send me bug reports and suggestions for improvement. Unlike the past 12 years, I am now actively engaged in development and can respond promptly.

There are a few features from old Mobius that are still missing and will be added soon. These include:

- OSC
- Projects
- Loop file save/load
- MIDI status export
- AU plugins

Currently Mobius is only available as a standalone application and a VST3 plugin. AU support for Logic will be added soon.
As before I do not have the resources to test in all plugin hosts. I do almost all my testing in Ableton Live, and will be using Logic more in the near future. If you have problems with a particular host I'd like to hear about them, but my focus is on the major hosts that most people use.
