FCB1010 / Mainstage / Mobius, control issue

I'm trying to control Mobius, hosted in Mainstage 2 with a FCB1010.

When I 'learn' a FCB1010 button to the record function Mobius it takes two presses of the button to work properly.

for ex: I press a FCB1010 button and Mobius begins to record (all good so far), in order to stop recording and start the loop playing I need to press it twice more, and in fact I need to press the buttons twice for all functions.


I cannot figure out if it is something I'm doing wrong in mainstage or in mobius.

Hi there,

Have you tried MIDI monitor? http://www.snoize.com/MIDIMonitor/
This will enable you to monitor what is actually being sent and received. I've always found it an invaluable tool when trouble shooting.

I have figured this out, it was a Mainstage issue.
For anyone who stumbles upon this with the same problem, here's what I did.

In Mainstage go to edit mode,
Select the graphic button that is misbehaving,
Check the "momentary behavior" (only works with pedals type buttons...?) box In the Screen Control Inspector window.
Done.

Now, one press will start recording, and the next press will play the loop... etc.
