Hi,

Just joined - downloaded Mobius a few days ago.

I am a guitar/synth player. I casually looped with various delay lines (including a WEM Copycat) for many years. Then a couple of years ago, inspired by the work of David Torn and Andre LaFosse, I got an EDP. After a few months with that I found it did a lot of stuff that I didn't feel I needed to do, but couldn't do the things I did want to do with loops. So I traded it for an Electrix Repeater - much more suited to the style I'm developing.

I seem to be returning to the use of Windows PCs for music after several years of a hardware-only studio. Feels like beeing drawn back to the Dark Side.

I will initially be trying to control Mobius from an Edirol MIDI control surface, since I don't currently have a suitable MIDI pedal board.

But the real question to be faced is:
Can I set up Mobius to do everything I can do with my Repeater (with v2 firmware)?

No. There's nothing to replace the unique sounding pitch- and time shifting algorithm of the Repeater.

Per - thanks for your response.

I notice Mobius does do pitch shifting?

I'll just have to see if its own unique sound is as good for me as the Repeater.

I think I will miss the time stretching.
