in my search to translate a midiValue for track volume into dB, i came across this-
i will try to verify it, but if ya get some time jeff, lemme know if this seems accurate or applicable-

I didn't try to follow any published chart like this so I don't know how
accurate it is. Internally Mobius uses a "squares curve" for attenuation
between 0 and 127. This is not exactly an exponential curve like
most hardware devices use but fairly close.

One thing to note is that Mobius will never make a signal louder, it only
attenuates it. So 127 is what you put in, which I guess would be 0db.

db values are all relative anyway so saying that Mobius is at -6.6db
doesn't really mean anything since it is relative to the strength of the input
signal.
