I have followed Per's instructions exactly to setup Mobius inside of Mainstage 2 yet somehow I've found a way for it not to work, At first I was trying to go the whole nine yards and have Mobius send the midi clock over the IAC bus to Mainstage. When I finished the loop it seems to state the correct tempo in Mobius but it only looks like it plays the very first milliseconds of the loop in a glitchy fashion. I can't tell whats happening sonically because I can't hear loops through Mobius. I can hear my audio input but I do not hear the audio from the loop playing back in Mobius.

So I started over and I'm not trying to the tempo sync just yet. I figured one thing at a time so I just try to hear the audio output from Mobius. Can't seem to get that to work. I set the side chain to bus 1. I have my audio input track's output set to bus 1.

Inside of Mobius I set the midi devices so the plug in input is set to my fcb1010 so I am able to get midi messages directly into Mobius. I have taken screenshots of as much as possible and I'll attach them. Thank you a bajillion for anybody that has the time to help.

I realized the file size is too small to attach so here is the links to the pictures on flikr:

Are you sure your Mobius settings work ok in the first place? Can you play a live looping session with Mobius standalone? From that starting point it shouldn't be difficult to run the plugin within any host.

Yes, I have no problem running Mobius standalone or within Bidule. That's what is so strange. I just started over again from scratch.

1. Have no problem getting audio input into my patche's channel strip
2. Then audio has no problem getting into Bus 1, I can see the meters moving.
3. I can see the meter moving in Mobius so I know the side chain is working.
4. Yet I do not see the Mobius software instrument channel meters move at all. This is on audio input and if try to record and play back a loop
5. I also just noticed that if I switch to another track within Mobius (any track other than track 1) that the record button on the GUI does not work anymore. Record button only works with track 1 on the Mobius's GUI

So I guess my problem is getting the audio from Mobius's plugin input to the plugin output. I have made sure that I have 'Monitor Audio Input' checked within Mobius.

Thanks Per, again for taking the time to help,

With the help of the amazing Per it finally works!!!!! This is what worked for me:

In Mobius's track settings make sure each plug-in's input/output port is set to 1.

In Mainstage when you choose Mobius as a midi controlled software instrument choose the stereo version instead of the Multi outout(8x stereo) version

Also things to double check are that you have Monitor audio input selected in Mobius. In Mainstage you have side chain input set to Bus 1 and your patches have their output set to bus(aux) 1 as well.
