Getting this little red "!" in the first area of the loop meter and then I'll get old erased loop data my current loop. Never seen that before. What does it mean?

Your loops are so bad-ass Mobius can only display an exclamation point since they are beyond words?!
On the serious side, maybe this could be a Mobius message that your running low on memory? Could be why it is tossing in old data that has been saved in memory. Does it take long time of looping before this happens? It will be interesting to hear what Jeff says.

That's a new one. When you say "loop meter" do you mean the
larger rectangle (usually in the center) that fills from left to right
as the loop plays with the subcycle tick marks underneath? Where
does the ! appear, inside the rectangle or underneath?
The only place I can think of where little red marks are displayed in
in the "layer list". This is a horizontal row of yellow rectangles, they look
sort of like dominoes. A new one is added to the list every time a layer
is created. After some number of layers (20?) it stops adding more
dominoes and instead draws a tiny number with a red background showing
the number of layers that aren't being displayed.
With the old erased loop data, does it sound scrambled or does it sound
like a complete older layer? Were you doing anything with checkpoints?
