Hi!

I'm trying to use Korg padKONTROL in native mode to control Möbius, using Native Kontrol software:
http://www.nativekontrol.com/

The problem is that although Möbius recognizes the native mode MIDI inputs and outputs (Named MT Player 1, 2 & 3) in "MIDI Devices", it doesn't get any MIDI activity from these inputs.
Meaning - in "MIDI Control > MIDI Capture" Möbius doesn't get any input.

Additional info:
1) If I use padKONTROL in regular mode, it works as expected.
2) The same problem persists if using Möbius as a VST (in REAPER)
3) I can get MIDI from padKontrol in native mode into Möbius if I route the MIDI inside REAPER from another track.
But then Möbius behaves like it's getting MIDI messages doubled (I think) - if pressing record on the controller, Möbius starts to record, but resets the track after a moment.

Any tips regarding this issue would be appreciated.
Maybe there's a way to disable Möbius getting MIDI directly, thus allowing the MIDI routing to work inside a VST host?

To make things simple I tried to use padKontrol in just a regular mode in stand-alone Möbius.

I get the same behaviour:
1) Pressing sustainpedal to trigger recording
2) Starts recording
3) Releasing sustainpedal - Möbius stops, resets after a moment

*) If I "double-press-hold" the sustain pedal, then Möbius records as long as I'm holding.
*) Releasing sustainpedal - Möbius stops, resets after a moment.

EDIT: I figured this one out - reversed the velocity and release values in padKontrol and now record works. :)

The native mode problem still remains...
Perhaps it's only possible to use these inputs via VST host internal routing.

Original post:

Record works as expected if using one of the pads to trigger.
But is "broken" id using the sustain pedal.

This is strange, because I've used sustain pedal for this purpose in Möbius before.

A common problem is to have Mobius open it's own MIDI devices *and*
route MIDI into the Mobius from the VST host. Open the MIDI Devices
window. There are two columns of device selectors, the one on the
left is for standalone mode and the one on the right is for plugin mode.
There is almost never a need to have Mobius open a MIDI input device
when in plugin mode, so if you have something selected under
in Plugin MID Input, deselect it.

This will cause Mobius to process MIDI events twice, once from the
selected device and again when it receives the same event from the host.
This can cause all sorts of strange problems.
