I am trying to setup a small display area for using Mobius with MainStage. I am using Mobius standalone to set up my display, using Display Components, but am having two issues:

1) I only want Audio Meter and Messages to appear for my Components. However, the green progress bar for the Loop Meter will not go away. If I have it selected as a component, it appears as a green box with white bar markers, and I can drag it around with "Z" selected. But if it is deselected, the green box does not appear, but the green progress bar still shows up in the display (although without the white markers). Is this a bug?

2) The main thing I want to see in my display are my two Track Loop Radars. I have my Audio Meter, Messages, (and phantom Loop Meter) all the way to the left above the radars, and no Buttons displayed.

I end up with a large blank black area to the right of displayed stuff. If I then drag the corner of the display box to the left to reduce the horizontal display size, the 2 track displays get squished on top of one another. I would expect to be able to eliminate the blank area without this happening. Is there a way to do this?

Thanks, all....

Sorry for the long delay on this one...

1) yes this is a bug

2) if you have reduced the number of displayed tracks to 2 and you can't
make the window narrower without them overwriting, this is also a bug

Yep, I'm just using 2 tracks.

If you ever get around to squishing these bugs, it would be appreciated! :)

I fixed the loop meter that won't go away.

But I'm having trouble understanding your problem with the track strips.
Starting from a normal window size, if I reduce the number of tracks to 2
I end up with a track strip with two large columns. Each column is expanded
to fill the available space, which looks kind of silly when there are only two.
Now when I resize the window by moving the right edge to the left, the
track strips gradually lose the blank space around them until they reach their normal size. All the blank space to the right is gone.

There is a limit to how far you can go, the minimum size for each track strip
is roughly one inch, if you try to compress them further they will start overlapping but at this point the window would only be about two inches wide
which should be narrow enough for you.

Are you seeing different behavior? I tried this on 1.42 and 1.45.

Jeff --

I'm using 1.45, but have been seeing this since I started using Mobius (a year or so). I am on a MacBook, running OS 10.6.8.

The attached JPEGs show what I am seeing:
- first shot is with z key held down to show there is nothing in window but audio meter, and the 2 track radars
- second shot, shrinking the window horizontally, the radars start stacking
- third shot, radars piling on top of one another. Aaaeeeiiii!

I would expect to see what you are seeing, and be able to get rid of all the unused black area to the right with the radars retaining their spacing.

hello,

i have the same issue.
iīm also on a macbookpro - 10.6.8 - mobius 1.45,
so, same setup.
my screenshots would look exactly like yours.
i canīt get rid of the empty space on the right side of the tracks
without squishing them on top of one another.

what i do is to move the mobius interface to the very right side of
my display to cut the black space out of my working-space

Thanks for the screen shots. This appears to be a Mac thing. I'm not sure what the problem is but the fact that the white borders that normally surround the track strips are becoming really narrow suggests that the minimum width of the track strip isn't being calculated properly and this is usually due to calculating the width of strings like "Output Level". I'll explore...

Thanks mucho, Jeff ... let me know if you want me to do any quick beta testing on my machine.
