Hi!

would love to test Mobius but it crashes every Host of mine: XT2 and Reaper 3.12... in Reaper i can decide if it will be loaded as a seperate process or a dedicated or native. Dont know exactly what that means.

In seperate and dedicated mode, Mobius loads correctly but crashes when clicking "Record"
The Other modes crash Reaper instantly :(

Don't know that to do cause i'd love to work with this one.....

bye
joe

This is a known problem I'm working on. It started happening in
recent releases of Reaper but it is unclear if it's a Reaper problem
or Mobius problem. I hope to get back to this this week.

Any news about the crashing with Reaper?

So, is it a Reaper or Mobius problem?

I would very much like to resume using Mobius...

At this point I would say it's a Reaper problem, but these sorts of problems hard to find and finger pointing generally goes nowhere.

All I can say is that this is only a problem in Reaper, only a problem in PC Reaper, and wasn't a problem in previous versions of Reaper. I've traced the VST
calls that reaper makes, it asks me to open the window, then it asks me for the preferred size of the window, then it corrupts a piece of my memory while it is off thinking about the window resize.

The fact that the corruption is happening while running Reaper code makes
it a better than even chance that it is a Reaper bug, but it is also possible
that the corruption is happening because of something I gave Reaper earlier.

There are some expensive memory debugging tools that could find this problem in a few minutes. I can't afford those but I would imagine Cockos
can, I asked them to run them but didn't get a response.

So we're kind of stuck at this point. I need to write up what I've found so
far and post it to their support forum, but at this point there isn't much I can do without their help.

Okay, I think I found the problem. It has to do with some ambiguities
in the VST spec over who gets to own parts of the editor window.
I'll have a patch for this in a few days.

Good news!

Thanks for taking the time.

Is there a "donate" button somewhere? ;)

Should be fixed in 1.42.

Yay!
Mobius works again! Thanks.

One thing I noticed though - if I delete the track that has Mobius on, REAPER crashes - poof.
