Not sure how hard this would be, but a cross fader similar to Abletons would be fun.

Pretty simple I would guess. Either set up the routing in the host, of using Mobius plugin, or by a script if using the standalone Mobius version. Script would of cause also work with the plugin version. One idea for a cross fade à la Live is to use Mobius' Groups function and dedicate lats say Group 1 to be one cross fade side and Group 2 to be the other cross fade side. Assign buttons, keys, MIDI buttons or MIDI knobs for each Mobius track to switch between "Group 1/CrossFade A, No CorssFade, Group 2/CrossFade B.
The simplest control data to use for the fader movements would be a MIDI CC# (sent from your physical control fader) and you should define the initial Output Level (the target parameter in Mobius that the script should also remember) for both cross fade groups at CC# value 64. Then moving the fader value upwards should scale down the Output Levels of one group's assigned tracks while moving the fader value downwards should scale down the other cross fade group's Track Output Levels (and of course back again to the previous value to be reached ad CC# =64).
I'm not in a position to write that script now, but above is the blue print if someone wants to spend a Sunday afternoon with scripting. DJ mixer style cross fading wouldn't be so useful for me, since I prefer to do all cross fading on the patch level in my host application and pre configure exactly what parameters are being cross faded for each one of the patches. Instead of creating loops on different tracks, for DJ style cross fading, I tend to layer quite a lot of parts into the same loop so I can be fast with cutting and manipulating many musical parts at one time by simply manipulating one loop. I sacrifice some sound design control to favor performance speed. Can't have it all ;-)
