I was wondering if there was a script function that performs an action when multiple (specific) midi notes are delivered at the same time (or within a certain amount of time).

Example: I have a Logidy UMI3 which is a three button usb midi controller. I would like it to function so that if I pressed two buttons at the same time (1 and 2 together - or 2 and 3 together) that it would perform a unique action independent of what each individual button is programmed for.

Any ideas?

Hello. I am new to Mobius scripting and have a question about changing the luiloop double click action. Instead of multiply, I want the double click action to mute the track. I simply changed the action of the script from "Multiply" to "Mute" and presto...it works! However, I can't get it to play again. When I tap the button again it erases the loop and goes into record mode. Any suggestions on modifying this script so that a double click mutes the track and then either another double tap or (preferably a single tap) moves the loop from mute back to play?

Hi, It's me again. I wonder if it is any way to make mobius to stop recording a loop automatically based on a predefined lengh of it. What I'm trying to do is to start recording the loop using Record Threshold (which I already achieved) what I want now is to end the recording when "something" reaches its end, lets say 8 measures in the way Ableton's looper does. This will allow to have perfect loops.

I know it has something to do with some kind of sync settings. I've been reading the extensive manuals but I can't get any way to do it. I'm new to mobius which is a very complex software and many definitions and proccesses are hard to understand and control, at least at my newie state.

Thanks

Problem with Mobius Midi binding and Mainstage (request for 2.6 wishlist)

Hi Jeff

Following my request for 2.6 wishlist about the Midi binding window in Mobius and Mainstage, here is what I meant :

Hi Jeff

Following my request for 2.6 wishlist about the Midi binding window in Mobius and Mainstage, here is what I meant :
First, it is about the objects/buttons in Mainstage that represent the 10 switches of each bank of my FCB1010 and that are associated with ALL the “Functions” that I choose and add in the MIDI binding window in Mobius.
Here is how it could look for only the first bank of the FCB :

FCB1010 ------> MAINSTAGE---------------> Mobius Midi Binding-----Trigger
Switch#1 ---> PLAY (Button#1) -----------------> Function:Play-------------1:C-2
Switch#2 ---> RECORD (Button#2) -------------> Function:Record----------1:C#-2
Switch#3 ---> OVERDUB (Button#3) -----------> Function:Overdub--------1:D-2
Switch#4 ---> MULTIPLY (Button#4)-----------> Function:Multiply--------1:D#-2
Switch#5 ---> UNDO (Button#5) -----------------> Function:Undo -----------1:E-2
Switch#6 ---> PREVIOUS TRACK (Button#6) -> Function:Previous Track 1:F-2
Switch#7 ---> NEXT TRACK(Button#7) ---------> Function:Next track --1:F#-2
Switch#8 ---> PREVIOUS LOOP (Button#8)----> Function:Previous loop-1:G-2
Switch#9 ---> NEXT LOOP (Button#9)-----------> Function:Next Loop ----1:G#-2
Switch#0 ---> MUTE (Button#0) ------------------> Function:Mute ---------- 1:A-2

Here, everything work as it should and If I press FCB Swithc#2, the RECORD buttton ligths in Mainstage and Mobius start record. However, the problem start when I want to change some Function already present in the Midi binding window in Mobius.
For exemple, let say I need to replace the actual “Function:Play 1:C-2” of the Switch#1 by another Function. I have no other choice than to delete the “Function:Play 1:C-2” in the Midi binding window of Mobius and, doing so, the order of the Functions in the Midi Binding list will change : the first top Function will be now the “Function:Record”. And that is the problem because all the Functions associated with the FCB switches and MS have move down by one row !

Here is what happens after deleting the “Function:Play 1:C-2” and adding a new one :
FCB1010 ------> MAINSTAGE---------------> Mobius Midi Binding-----Trigger
Switch#1 ---> PLAY (Button#1) -----------------> Function:Record----------1:C#-2
Switch#2 ---> RECORD (Button#2) -------------> Function:Overdub--------1:D-2
Switch#3 ---> OVERDUB (Button#3) -----------> Function:Multiply--------1:D#-2
Switch#4 ---> MULTIPLY (Button#4)-----------> Function:Undo -----------1:E-2
Switch#5 ---> UNDO (Button#5) -----------------> Function:Previous Track 1:F-2
Switch#6 ---> PREVIOUS TRACK (Button#6) -> Function:Next track --1:F#-2>
Switch#7 ---> NEXT TRACK(Button#7) -------> Function:Previous loop-1:G-2>
Switch#8 ---> PREVIOUS LOOP (Button#8)----> Function:Next Loop ----1:G#-2>
Switch#9 ---> NEXT LOOP (Button#9)-----------> Function:Mute ---------- 1:A-2>
Switch#0 ---> MUTE (Button#0) ------------------> New Function that has been added

Now, for exemple, Switch#1 labeled PLAY in MS is now starting Function:Record and Switch#5 labeled UNDO in MS is now activating the Function:Previous Track.
Everything has to be reassociated in MS and that is a lot of work particulary if you have already 5 FCB’s banks associated with 50 objects/buttons in MS and controling so many Mobius functions.
Changing a single Function’s in the Mobius Midi binding windows and everything become a mess in MS.

So may be the solution would be simply to have an Option in Mobius to move up or down any Functions listed in the Midi binding window ? Like this, it will be possible to keep the Functions in the appropriate order even if we delete some of them or add new ones.

Michel

When I record, the loop plays once through then it appears to keep going with no audio and the yellow bars appear at the top as though it is continuously overdubbing (however it's just playing not recording at this point)... I've used Mobius with Logic for a long time, but my hard drive recently crashed and I had to start over and am now encountering this bug. Any insights?

Running Mobus 2.5 AU plug-in to Bidule, MacOS10.6.8, whilst overdubbing a track in multiply mode I hit replace (Why would I do that? - just a whim, maybe!) & the whole application freezes - the beach ball's still spinning......
This may have happened on 1.45, I'm not sure, but I could get a log if you want Jeff? I think it's pretty reproducible. It's bidule that hung, so maybe it's not Mobius causing it?

Hi all
Not even far enough down the road of configuring v2.5 to even begin to think about 2.6 wishlists! But, having written some new scripts & a new set of bindings to accomodate loop windowing (mmmm...), I find that opening up the new Bidule layout, with 2.5 plug-in, still comes up with the old Mobius bindings, even though I've saved it with loop window bindings configured.
It's not that the new bindings have disappeared completely, just I have to go & re-find/configure them every time. Have I missed something in saving a configuration?
Dave

PS.....If I change certain other configurations, the bindings also revert to previous. eg today, having 'global reset' mobius, I changed 'track leave action' from cancel to none, & my old MIDI bindings were back!
