I am starting my adventure with Mobius. I have it installed on my windows XP 32 system with an M audio soundcard. I am trying to go with the standalone version first to test. I do get an input signal showing on the meter flickering but the numbers over the meter don't change after I press record so it's like it's not recording anything. When I press the record button it does not playback anything either. I have tried setting of the audio configuration to the AS I O drivers as well as trying the correct mme drivers with no luck. I do get input signals with both ESIO drivers and the mme drivers but no luck with Mobius actually changing numbers above the meter with either when I press record. When I hit the record button it does go and say synchronize next to the audio meter and provides a small word saying record with a arrow above it below the audio meter but no number change. When I hit reset it resets according to the board that is displayed so it is getting the command apparently. Please advise.

You have some form of synchronization turned on. Bring up the Track Setup window and look at the fields labeled Sync Source and Track Sync Unit.
Both should be "Default". Next click the Synchronization tab. Until you are ready to explore synchronization you should set this to either None or Track. The way synchronization works, is that the start and ending of a recording will be delayed to match a "pulse" from a sync source. If you're running as a plugin, the pulse would be a beat or bar from the host transport. So if you had Default Sync Source set to Host, but the host transport wasn't running, Mobius would sit in Synchronize mode forever. |
