Default Midi script

Hello Everyone,
I was wondering if it is possible to make some sort of script that sends a specific midi signal (like a note on a channel) when one track is recording, overdubbing or playing.

I thought when I have an arduino board on the midi out. I could make a led light up (red for rec, amber for overdub and green for playing). And maybe even have like 8 leds in a circle that visualizes the circles from the monitor screen.

I would like to get rid of the monitor in that way....

Any thoughts???

Okay, I have found something usefull here

http://www.circularlabs.com/forums/a...php/t-912.html

And with some modifications i can probably get this to work for my arduino board.

But still....

Does anyone know if it is possible to create a walking line of leds to see how far a loop is, like the boss rc-1.
What might work is a midi note for each quarter or eight of a loop.

Anyone?

I have changed the launchpad script a bit but i got stuck. I decided im gonna use the launchpad for visual control. For now at least....
This is what ive got so far....

if mode == reset
Record
MidiOut noteon 0 0 15

elseif mode == mute
Reset
Record
wait last
MidiOut noteon 0 0 15

elseif mode == play
Overdub
MidiOut noteon 0 0 47
wait loop

elseif mode == multiply
Play
MidiOut noteon 0 0 60

elseif mode != reset
Play
MidiOut noteoff 0 48 60
MidiOut noteon 0 0 60
wait subcycle
MidiOut noteoff 0 0 60
MidiOut noteon 0 16 60
wait subcycle
MidiOut noteoff 0 16 60
MidiOut noteon 0 32 60
wait subcycle
MidiOut noteoff 0 32 60
MidiOut noteon 0 48 60
wait subcycle

endif

Label sustain
#wait until the second sustain pass (i.e. wait 500 MS instead of 250)
if sustainCount = 2
Reset
MidiOut noteoff 0 0 60
endif
end

If the loop plays. The launchpad shows a walking line, which is cool. But it does only for the first round.
How can I let it continue over and over again?

Hello, did you manage this? I'm building a loop pedal and would like led's to light up when in different track modes like play and record
