Default Syncing REAPER to Mobius - Possible?

I'm trying to sync REAPER tempo to Mobius VST.
I think all the settings are correct, but REAPER doesn't change it's tempo according to the loop length in Mobius.

Is it even possible?

My settings are the following:

Hi Kaspar,
No, I dont think thats possible. I ve tried it maybe a half year ago and found out that reaper needs to know
the exact tempo of the sync source. you have to dial it in manually. then repaer is able to sync to beat, or
measure. if the tempo is set wrong, reaper shoes very strange behaviour because it cant align midi clock
and tempo.
So I use Plogue Bidule to sync Mobius, fx and patterns. Its a great solution for live use, and you can also
run it as vst plugin in reaper for recording - but if you want to have reaper and mobius aligned, it goes
only the other way around by syncing mobius to reaper...

Hmmm, that explains it, thanks for the reply.

I don't have Bidule, but I do have Reaktor.
Do you know if it's possible to construct a patch in there to sync Mobius to REAPER?

syncing mobius to reaper shouldnt be a problem, you dont need reaktor to do this. just load mobius in reaper and set it to syncmode "host". Reaktor cant host vst plugins like bidule can, so i dont know how reaktor could be useful here.

Oops, yeah I meant the other way around.
Syncing REAPER to Mobius.
Just thought that routing MIDI output from Möbius to Reaktor VST, doing some clever stuff with it there and outputting it then to make REAPER sync

It looks like Reaper is expecting MIDI Time Code (MTC). Mobius
doesn't send MTC, it just sends MIDI clocks and start/stop events.
I don't use Reaper so check to see if there is a way to sync Reaper
with simple MIDI clocks and transport events.

I'm not sure - I think not.
These are the sync options:

But... is there some way to generate MTC with some "magical" software from MIDI clocks and start/stop events?

Try "SPP: In from MIDI Yoke X" SPP usually refers to "Song Position Pointer"
which Mobius doesn't send but it is part of the more basic MIDI clock
sync protocol.

Tried...
REAPER seems to ignore whatever it receives from Mobius.

Hi Kaspar, I also use mobus and reaper, as far as I know what you are trying to accomplish is not possible.
Reaper can send SPP and clock and send MTC and sync to MTC.
I have often been looking for a standalone software like you that can translate SPP and clock in a given tempo into absolute positioning to MTC or SMPTE code.If you find something like that I am very interested.
I think there is a old JL Cooper device that can do so, and also hold a predefined tempo map in memory, but a stand alone software would be great.
I unfortunately dont have much programming skills, otherwise I would have maked such a software long time ago :-)
Sincerely Rasmus Fris.
