Hi Jeff, you truly have done an awesome job with Mobius, that’s for sure! You should be extremely proud of your achievements! As an end user I can say without doubt, Mobius is a wonderfully creative and expressive experience. I thank you for its creation. Having said all those nice and fluffy things I don’t want to sound disingenuous, but…
Config/MIDI Control ![]() The RHS pane is cool! Nice and orderly. Function/Scripts/Controls/etc… and listed alphabetically… NICE The LHS, WTF. I can’t find a frigging thing. I use 96 of my own script plus Mobius inbuilt functions etc and the list grows to 123. Please! please! in 1.46 bring back (Move Up/Move Down) functionality to the LHS pane, even if it’s just to stop glynndub having a myocardial infarction

Hi Jeff, I’ve just realised I can manipulate the order on the MIDI Bindings list by cut n pasting in the Mobius.xml file.
<Binding target='function' name=' and <ScripRef file='C:\Program Files\Mobius\ Is this recommend? or are you going to tell me to "get-out while you still can" Again

If you are comfortable editing XML text, it is perfectly fine to create your bindings in mobius.xml. I do this all the time. Just be warned that if you leave a syntax error in the file, Mobius will die ungracefully when it starts. On Windows standalone you usually see a popup window and Mobius never starts. When running as a VST host the host usually hides the error. So I recommend first running Mobius standalone after XML editing to make sure it works.
What would your preference be for the LHS binding panel? I can easily sort these by target type and name if that helps. So all the Paramters would be together, all the Functions, all the Scripts, etc. But within those groups they would be alphabetical. Or I can ignore the target type and just sort everything by name so you would see scripts interleaved with functions. I don't think we ever had move up/down buttons here, but it wouldn't make any difference because the order isn't important other than so you can arrange them visually. Would sorting be enough? |

Thanks Jeff
![]() As long as the LHS pane has an orderly approach, then I’m not overly fazed, one adapts, and I’m open to consensus. I’ve been editing “Mobius.xml” in the format you suggested… Target type as laid out left to right in the RHS pane and then alphabetically. NICE! Also before I edit the “Mobius.xml” file, I ALWAYS save a copy!
