Hi Jeff, All,
I can't get Track setups and Presets to respond to midi
program changes (or note #s) in M 2.0.1!

This works in 1.45!

Thanks... BH

@Per

I found the bug with not being able to assign a host parameter to the Rate Shift function so you can sweep it up and down. It should work if you directly bind a MIDI CC, but not with a host parameter. I'll have this and a few other things available in 2.0.2 in a few days.

@Sustainiac

2.0.2 will also fix binding MIDI events to setups and presets.

I will go out tomorrow and buy one more expression pedal that I will dedicate to instant Mobius Scratch Dives. This is going to be so fun!

Per,
what are you talking about here ?
I have a mixed feeling: of something incredibly sexy and of some ( maybe many) discussions I have been missing...

aTalking bout the hardest workin man in show bizness, u know!!!!
- but that was a kind of joke.

The real cause of my happiness is that Jeff just said he has found, and is fixing, the bug that prevents me from assigning pedals and joysticks to Mobius Rate Shift. I like that very much. It used to work in previous versions and for years I have used one FCB/LG preset with an expression foot pedal assign to Rate Shift. Sometimes just scratching the selected track's audio but if I'm feeling evil and have the CPU forces on my side I might use it for All Tracks. Imagine playing with five different loops sounding at the same time and then you start bomb diving them all at once like the meanest whammy bar boy from hell!!! :-)) All while you play other stuff on top of the chaotics (never forget to have a low cut filter post looper when doing this - or you may blow some good speaker cones). I did this long ago when running Mobius under Bidule on a one CPU 1GHz PC and the action totally killed the audio. But it never crashed on that lappy, after a silent half second's dropout the audio came back online with happy crack noise. Not to be used in ballads ;-) ...guess that's something like what I'm talking about.

It's weird that today's strong computers still take a hike now and then. But that's our own fault, because we are so greedy to fill up the new CPU cycles with software synths and all kind of pre looper effect stuff.

yes, I got it !

it would be a very nice feature indeed.
Not one that would get a frequent use, but a very useful to add to the most dramatic effect palette.

Perhaps this feature would allow many more uses when used with subtle tweakings.

Will keep an eye on this, thanks for lighting it up.
My best,
Luca
